Fern the LandyCamper: Defender 110 Rooftent (2 at LandyCampers)

Fern is our lovingly restored and uniquely converted Defender 110 LandyCamper from 2001. Highly original inside and out, her looks are as majestic as she is capable of tackling any terrain. Depending on the size of your group, Fern can be fitted with either one or two rooftents, while offering loads of space for equipment and luggage in the converted back.

Suitable for up to 6 people or any adventurers travelling with a dog, she is fitted with high quality roof-tents, unique to LandyCampers, which fold out to the driver's side creating a larger-than-queen-sized bed, with a comfortable foam mattress, included bedding, windows on all 4 sides, skylight windows with blinds for a unique "sleeping under the stars" feel, and attachable large annexe room.

To the passenger's side and rear a 270 degree 'bat-wing' awning extends the cover and shade to surround all 3 sides of the vehicle, meaning access to the front and rear can be protected from the elements and giving a spacious shaded area to cook and relax!

Fern's rear bench seats have been replaced with modern comfortable Exmoor Trim full sized seats with headrests for improved passenger safety.

The rear section of Fern has been thoughtfully converted into a 'lounge' area, with a custom storage unit that contains all the included equipment, and doubles as an indoor table, for working or dining if the weather turns for the worse. Fairy lights are fitted, of course!

She is carefully and expertly restored and improved for excellent drivability and safety - including upgraded suspension, brakes and clutch, and high output LED headlights for safe night driving.

If you are travelling with a dog, Fern the Defender 110 will be your vehicle of choice: our dog hammock installed on the rear bench will create a cosy and safe place for your four-legged friend to travel and sleep in.

Fern comes fully equipped with a variety of high quality camping equipment, with everything necessary for a true adventure included as standard, no basic gear is an optional extra!
