Maisie is amazing..... despite being just 4.5 metres long and 1.85 metres wide she can carry 5 people (6 at a squeeze for short journeys). For those of you needing more space to sleep, Maisie is the campervan for you. Built in 1972, she has been providing holidays and wedding hire at Rainbow Camper Hire since 2008. Online booking is available for self-drive hires; for chauffeured wedding hire please email us for a quote.
Maisie seats 2 in the cab and 3 facing forward in the rear. When you arrive at your campsite her huge 'Viking' roof opens up and extends to provide room for a full double bed, a full size single and a small single (suitable for short children only) upstairs plus a double bed downstairs. There is a low edge around the upper bunks. For very young, wriggly sleepers we can provide an additional safety bed side.
Maisie is ideal for 2 adults and up to 3 children or even 5 adults if you get on well enough!
Maisie has a gas cooker with grill, an electric cool box and a table that can seat 4. All our vans come with an electric hook up cable and all the crockery and cooking kit you may need. Just bring your own bedding or book sleeping bags with your hire.

Pick-up location

Penrith is the nearest train station, on the West Coast Mainline. There are hourly buses from the station to Keswick (X4 and X5). the Rainbow Campers team can collect you from the nearest bus stop. If there are four or more in your group a taxi can be economic – booking in advance from Davies Taxis in Keswick (017687 72676) is cheaper than taking one from the station rank.
Alternatively, there is safe, free parking at our base here in Keswick for one car per campervan.
