The Owner Says
Daisy is a 1978 Viking Spacemaker 6 VW campervan. She has been providing holiday and wedding hires for Rainbow Camper Hire since 2009. She is great for families, seating 6 while travelling or for sleeping.
Open up her huge roof and you reveal 4 single beds to add to the double downstairs. Great for 2 adults and up to 4 children or she works fine for 4 adults too.
Daisy has an electric coolbox, a gas cooker with 2 rings and a grill. All our campers have 240 volt hook up cables to take advantages of sites with such facilities. She is kitted out with all the crockery and cooking kit you could need - just bring your bedding or book sleeping bags with the hire.
Daisy has had her bodywork refurbished for the 2021 season and her shiny paint looks fabulous!
There is a raised edge around the upper bunks. For very young, wriggly sleepers we can provide an additional safety bed side - please ask. Online booking is available for self-drive hires; for chauffeured wedding hire please email us for a quote.

Penrith is the nearest train station, on the West Coast Mainline. There are hourly buses from the station to Keswick (X4 and X5). the Rainbow Campers team can collect you from the nearest bus stop. If there are four or more in your group a taxi can be economic – booking in advance from Davies Taxis in Keswick (017687 72676) is cheaper than taking one from the station rank.
Alternatively, there is safe, free parking at our base here in Keswick for one car per campervan.
