Our VW California Beach Camper is an incredibly versatile campervan.

The Beach (as opposed to Ocean or Coast editions) California offers a stripped back campervan experience, whilst offering all the refinement and technology you’d expect from a brand new California.

As a ‘factory’ conversion (ie not a panel van converted into a camper), everything about the Beach California works just as it should, with great ease and precision.

The Beach does away with the standard side conversion in campers (which normally consists of twin hobs, water, and wardrobes) and instead offers a full width bed (and three rear seats), a pull out kitchen for light cooking, and loads of space for outdoors types to bring and store various equipment. The California offers comfort in a small space. You can set up the elevating roof of the VW California Beach in just a few easy steps at your holiday destination or stopover. The expanding roof gives you extra space to move around in the passenger compartment.

The mini-kitchen in the VW California Beach Camper can help you prepare basic meals and is easily stowed when travelling. Plus there’s a camping table and chairs which can be set up outside or stowed neatly away to save space when not being used. With the camper control panel you have a digital central unit at your disposal that allows you to conveniently control numerous functions such as the on-board cool box. The menu items are intuitively selected via the touchscreen.

The benefit of the full width bed shouldn’t be underestimated - this really does change the dynamic of your campervan experience. The set up ‘upstairs’ is the same as with other California models, with a pop top and uber comfy double bed. We’ve also added a panoramic roof tent in the pop top so you can zip it open and enjoy a special sunrise from the comfort of the upstairs bed. We provide a sheet for each bed, and we ask you to bring pillows and duvet or sleeping bag.

Downstairs we have specced a ‘comfort mattress’ which pulls out over the bed, along with parking sensors, reversing camera and ‘park assist’ (for those not used to driving a van, this automates parking in smaller parking spaces - as clever as it sounds!)

We have retrofitted a Vangear Nano pod which provides a small sink unit and some storage.
