The VW California Coast 2022 model is immaculately packaged and built to remarkably high standards with new technology, a new front design and an improved interior. The California has never wavered from its original design philosophy and remains the ultimate vehicle for those on the move and ready for adventure.

With space for four in the pop-top roof and down below, it has a fully fitted kitchen, ample storage with a factory-made smooth finish. The California 6.1 features the camper control unit with touchscreen, infotainment system, electro-mechanical power steering system, park assist and an automatic seven-speed DSG transmission.

All this gives you the best start and base for your home on wheels, and an incredible Cornish adventure.

Each campervan hire comes with unlimited mileage, fully comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance, a full tank of diesel and we show you how everything works so that it’s smooth sailing. We provide a sheet for each bed, and we ask you to bring pillows and duvet or sleeping bag.

We provide free off-road parking for your car or can arrange a pick up from Newquay airport or the mainline train stations of Bodmin Parkway or Truro for a fee.

There is a minimum hire period of 3 nights with one driver included in the price. Additional drivers can be added. The driver must meet all the hire conditions – have a UK photocard driving licence, no more than 3 points on your licence, show a valid passport, 2 x proof of address (either a utility bill, bank statement or credit card statement dated in the last month with the same address as the driving licence) and a check code from www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. The minimum standard age for the driver is 25 but other ages can be considered by our insurance company but may incur an additional charge. Non-UK drivers are welcome but again may also incur an additional charge.

Our insurance company requires us to take a £1000 deposit via credit/debit card on the day of hire. This is refunded in full within 10 days if there is no damage to the vehicle, no speeding or parking tickets, and if the tank of diesel is returned full. We will provide you with a copy of the rental agreement, as well as the Hirer Information Form (which needs to be completed and returned to us) when you confirm your booking.
