When it comes to campervans the big decision is do you want to look cool or drive fast? That may be simplifying things ever so slightly but it’s really a question of old or new. Some people are instinctively vintage van fans and the fact that these babies are a little harder to drive and a little slower on the road matters not a jot. Others will take the convenience, comfort and cruising speeds of a modern van over an older one any day. Each to their own and thankfully there’s a choice of both at the fantastically well-located Kombi Campers.
With a base close to Glasgow Airport, Kombi Campers will have a VW van that suits your taste as they offer a range of vans from across the decades. Whichever one you plump for, you can be on the shores of Britain’s biggest lake, Loch Lomond, just an hour after pick-up. As such, Kombi Campers is a great place to hire from if you’re after a road trip through the Scottish Highlands. The North Coast 500 is one perfect but popular option and the folk behind Kombi Campers have plenty of other suggestions and a wealth of experience they’re only too happy to share.
A cool collection of VWs, some vintage (from the 60s and 70s) and others much more modern.
Kombi Capers is located in Paisley very near to Paisley Gilmour Street Train Station and close to Glasgow International Airport. To reach their premises you can take a taxi from the airport, which is less than five minutes away. If travelling via Glasgow you can take a train (15 minutes) from Glasgow Central Station to Paisley Gilmour Street Station and Kombi Campers is a two-minute walk from the station.
